IFIC Bank PLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Smart Electronics Ltd, the official distributor of Sony in Bangladesh, to offer exclusive EMI facilities to IFIC Bank credit cardholders. The agreement was signed on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at IFIC Tower in Dhaka, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations.
Mr. Helal Ahmed, Chief of Branch Business of IFIC Bank PLC, and Mr. Md. Sarwar Jahan Chowdhury, General Manager (Head of Sales) of Smart Electronics Ltd, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Mr. Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Credit Officer of IFIC Bank PLC; Mr. Md. Zakir Hossain, Head of Cards and Digital Banking of IFIC Bank PLC; and Mr. Faysal Uddin, Manager (HR) of Smart Electronics Ltd, along with other senior officials from both organizations.
Under this partnership, IFIC Bank credit cardholders will be able to enjoy up to 12 months of 0% EMI on all SONY–SMART products, making premium electronics and technology more affordable and accessible through convenient, interest-free installment facilities.
