IFIC Bank PLC has signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank to participate in the central bank’s Tk 3,000 crore Export Diversification Refinance Scheme, aimed at strengthening the country’s export capacity and supporting the development of new and promising export sectors.
At a ceremony held at the Bangladesh Bank Head Office on Tuesday (September 01, 2026), the agreement was signed on behalf of IFIC Bank by the bank’s Managing Director, Syed Mansur Mustafa, while A K M Nurunnabi, Director of the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank, signed on behalf of Bangladesh Bank. Helal Ahmed, Chief of Branch Business of IFIC Bank, along with senior officials from both organizations, attended the ceremony.
The scheme aims to further strengthen the country’s export sector, create employment opportunities, ensure a balanced growth in import-export trade, and generate greater dynamism in export business through the continuous development of an export-supportive environment.
With a view to playing a supportive role in the development of the export sector, IFIC Bank PLC has been regularly providing necessary financial support to entrepreneurs and businesses. Through its participation in Bangladesh Bank’s refinance scheme, financing facilities for export-oriented enterprises will become more accessible. This will contribute positively to diversifying the country’s products and export markets, expanding foreign trade, and accelerating overall economic growth.
